The pathient’s anxieties in an emergency heart surgery’s postoperative period: a reflexive study

Abstract

This study had as objective to investigate the reactions felt and noticed by a patient submitted to an emergency heart surgery, whose time space between the diagnosis and the surgery accomplishment was insufficient for the preoperative routine preparation. The data were collected through an interview accomplished with the patient 30 days after his/her hospital leaving, at home. The analysis let us to contemplate on some aspects that need to be reviewed due to the caring process; the feelings respect , the privacy, the basic needs attention, comfort and safety ware the most mentioned. In what is concerned to the domicile visit after the hospital leaving, it is recommended: to keep visiting , whenever it is possible, the patient that you took care.
