Mortality Causes of Piglets in the first Week After Birth

Resumen
An experiment was carried out to evaluaíe causes of rnortality in pigleís in the first week of life. Thirty six deliveries with a total of 369 live piglets were studied. H was observed, based on means, íhal 84 % of the mortaliíy in those studied occurred in the first four days after delívery. The three main causes of moríaliíy (84, 34 %) were crushing, low nutriíion leveis and splayed legs.
