In this sense, it uses the concept of intersectionality as a methodological aspect to suggest approachesthat perceive social complexity and its implications for public policies. The purpose of this paper, then, is to encourage the promotionof studies that take up the theme of intersectional analysis and evaluation in the field of public policy and law. To do so, it begins byhighlighting the methodological approach, the concept of intersectionality and its consonance with law. Then, it shares questions, analyses and possible ways to deepen the understanding of the institutional context. Finally, it attempts to map, based on policies forthe promotion of racial equality, normatives that enable an intersectional approach. The main objective of this essay is to contributeto the discussion about possible ways to analyze and evaluate public policies based on the understanding and use of intersectionality. As a conclusion, it highlights the importance of the concept in pointing to new debates and the need for approaches that privilege it.
