Regional dimension in Administration Education and Research

Organizers
Franzé Costa - Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB)
Henrique Muzzio - Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE)

Introduction and objectives
The influence of contextual variables (sector or business environment and macro environment) is well recognized in management practice and in Administration studies, which are aimed at proposing the improvement of the work of executives, entrepreneurs, public and social leaders and for teaching practice itself. and research. Among the various variables, regional and local characteristics (characteristics, traditions, history, trends...) are among the most relevant.
Exploratory studies indicate that management training has an effect on the careers of graduates trained mainly in the context close to the training environment. The verification is that the vast majority of graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate courses will exercise the skills developed either at the training site, or in nearby places (it is possible to believe that even students on distance education courses will work in spaces close to your home). In view of this, we understand that, just as they condition management practice, regional variables are relevant for improving training and research processes in Administration.
In this sense, this special call aims to publish a set of works that present, debate and illustrate the themes of Education and Research in Administration in their relationship with this regional dimension.
