Starting from the analysis of several sources such as deliberation, inquisitorial processes, royal chronicles, pragmatics, among others, I seek here to make a synthesis on aspects related to the Moorish religiosity in the peninsular territories of the Hispanic Monarchy, especially in Granada during the second half of the 16th century (and beginning of the 17th century) under Filipino reigns. I try to highlight some aspects of the strategies and permanence of certain religious practices of Muslim influence from a cultural and social point of view, in the midst of counter-reform Catholicism. In this context, and without neglecting the diversity of the Moorish population, it is worth highlighting the profound relationship of identity that religious life played in daily life, in the social relations of the Moriscos converts. Finally, I try to address, albeit in a panoramic way, from the perspective of some theologians, aspects of the role of religious orders in the process of evangelization and, above all, of the option for the expulsion of the Morisco group from the Hispanic peninsular territories (1609-1614).
