The trajectory of artist Raimundo Cela between Ceará and Rio de Janeiro (1910-1920).

This article aims to address a little-studied aspect of the trajectory of the artist Raimundo Brandão Cela from Ceará, which concerns his journeys between Ceará and Rio de Janeiro in search of professional and artistic training. Raimundo Cela wanted to be an artist, however, his father José́ Maria Cela Mosquera did not support him. The father was a mechanic and wanted his son to attend the Polytechnic School, located in Rio de Janeiro. In order not to go against his father's wishes, Cela completed his studies in Fortaleza and went to the capital of Rio de Janeiro to carry out both projects. Two areas that are opposed at the outset: science, while studying engineering and art, during training at the National School of Fine Arts as a draftsman, painter, and engraver, came together in a significant way, in a graduated and heterogeneous process of conforming their place of trans(training).
