Relative periods of planting and nitrogenous manuring: agroeconomical index of cotton consorted with sesame
Abstract
The objective of this work was to evaluate the agroeconomical indices of efficient land use (ELU) and aggressivity (A) in a consorted system between brown colored cotton (BRS 200) with sesame CNPA G4, under different doses of nitrogen and relative periods of planting. The experiment was carried out under dry conditions, on the Embrapa Cotton Farm, in the municipality of Missão Velha, localized in the south of Ceará - Brazil, in the Cariri Region, in random experimental design blocks in split plot, with four repetitions. The plots were composed of a 4 x 3 factorial, four being nitrogen levels (0; 20; 40 and 60 kg ha-1) and three nitrogen directed (to cotton, sesame and both). The subplots were constituted of the three relative periods of planting (cotton and sesame planted on the same day, cotton 15 days before sesame and cotton 15 days after sesame). The application of the nitrogen in the periods did not affect the ELU and the index of aggressivity. However, the periods relative to the planting altered the competitive relationship between the species, with the sesame more aggressive in the system where it was planted 15 days before the cotton.
