Arquivos de Ciências do Mar

The journal Arquivos de Ciências do Mar (ISSN 0374-5686 print; ISSN 2526-7639 online) is the scientific communication vehicle of the Institute of Marine Sciences (LABOMAR) at the Federal University of Ceará. Established in 1961, it is available electronically through the website http://periodicos.ufc.br/index.php/arquivosdecienciadomar. The journal operates on a rolling publication basis (continuous publication) and is dedicated to disseminating research in the following fields of study: Physical Oceanography; Marine Chemical Oceanography and Geochemistry; Marine Biology and Bioecology; Fisheries, Population Dynamics, and Fisheries Prospecting; Environmental and Seafood Microbiology; Mariculture; Geological Oceanography and Coastal Dynamics; and Impacts and Management of Coastal and Marine Zones.

The journal's Board of Associate Editors consists of specialists in the aforementioned fields of knowledge, who are recognized by the academic community for their expertise and are responsible for providing technical-scientific reviews on the merit of submitted articles. It provides immediate open access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public supports a greater global democratization of knowledge.
