Abstract

This study presents the implementation of important public policies for the development of tourism in the Ceará Coast (Brazil) and Galicia (Spain). Comparative research aims to reveal indicators that in a transnational evaluation can serve as models for new actions aimed at developing regions in a responsible, economically and socially sustainable way, generating employment, income and higher quality of life for their residents. Qualitative research reveals primary data, after content analysis, of the elements collected through documentary research and field visits in both regions. The theoretical basis will be based on the bibliographic review that will allow the understanding of the tourism space.
