Abstract

The article shows the suit of Kings of "Ouro Verde", Abaíra, Chapada Diamantina (BA) as a popular cultural manifestation constituted from elements belonging to the universe of the field, category I have created. I ask: In what sense is the being of the field what makes this Suit a continuous tradition based on tensions and conflicts, in the processes of reconfigurations and hybridizations? By reconfiguring and hybridizing, the kingship is not timed with something rigid and finished. In this sense, I refer to a set of practices and representations, based on the power relations that are expressed in the party, in order to identify the singularities of this playful and religious practice.
