Abstract

This article aims to present the conceptions about the use of methodological teaching strategies in the formation of Geography teachers. Thus, an essay is made to think how the pedagogical knowledge of content (PKC) of Shulman can make it possible to overcome the dichotomous vision between the specific knowledge of Geography and the pedagogical knowledge. Departing from the literature review based on Santos (2008), Gomes (2011), Callai (2013), Deon (2014), Shulman (1987) and Martins (2014), theoretical reflections point to the importance of using methodological teaching strategies for the construction of knowledge still in the teacher training taking into account the continuity of the use of the strategies in the School Geography.
