Abstract

In the present context complexity takes on a great responsibility, that of encompassing extensive epistemological and methodological horizons. The present and / or permanence of this discussion within the academic sphere lies in the paradigm crisis of our wisdom, the inability of Western reason to face the challenges complexes of post modernity. The purpose of this article is to discuss the emergence of complex thinking from its characterizing elements, as well as to verify the possibilities of its insertion in geographic thought and daily practices of geographers.
