DIALOGUES FOR INTEGRATIVE SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL REPARATION IN A COMMUNITY-BASED PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH

Abstract

Integrative socio-environmental approach aimed at comprehensive reparation through Community-Based Participatory Research conducted in the rural community of Lagoa dos Cavalos, municipality of Russas, Ceará, Brazil. The theoretical and methodological contributions from a well-established Ecuadorian initiative aimed at integral reparation, known as the Clinica Ambiental, were crucial in addressing the following question: How can processes of shared knowledge creation enhance the community plan for the Lagoa dos Cavalos territory, thereby strengthening its traditions, lifestyles, and health and good living practices? Discussions are initiated for reparations aimed at healing approaches in territories affected by the destructive logic of neo-extractivism. It has been recognized that the epistemological foundations for knowledge production require updates that support the preservation of the right to life. Additionally, the concept of reparation can facilitate community-based participatory experiences in contexts of socio-environmental conflicts.entais.

  • Lara de Queiroz Viana Braga, Federal University of Ceará

    Graduada em Ciências Biológicas (2003-2007) pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), mestre em Saúde Pública (2008-2010) pela UFC e doutora pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente/UFC pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) (2015 - 2020). Em 2024, iniciei um Projeto de Pós-Doutorado pela Fundação Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (FUNCAP), no Departamento de Geografia/UFC com supervisão do Prof. Dr. Antônio Jeovah Andrade Meireles. Ao longo deste período, faço parte do núcleo de pesquisa Trabalho, Ambiente e Saúde (Tramas/UFC) sob coordenação da Profa. Dra. Raquel Maria Rigotto. Tenho trabalho com educação, formações, cursos técnicos, sistematização de experiências e metodologias participativas. Os campos de atuação são: agroecologia, justiça ambiental e pesquisas participativas.

    Professor do Departamento de Geografia da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGeo/UFC/CAPES 6) e em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente (PRODEMA/UFC/CAPES 5). Doutor em Geografia pela Universidade de Barcelona (2001). É pesquisador em Geociências, com ênfase em Geografia Física e Geomorfologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: indicadores geoambientais de flutuações do nível relativo do mar e mudanças climáticas, evolução geomorfológica da planície costeira, planejamento e gestão, impactos socioambientais de grandes empreendimentos no litoral, cartografia social, justiça ambiental e climática. Bolsista Sênior de Produtividade em Pesquisa do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico CNPq.
