Resumen

Le transport aérien français occupe une position stratégique dans les flux de circulation au sein de l’Europe, mais il connaît actuellement des transformations marquées par la centralisation autour des hubs aéroportuaires, la concurrence du TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) et l’expansion des compagnies low-cost. Ainsi, cet article analyse la structure des flux de passagers et les dynamiques concurrentielles du secteur. Cette étude, qui adopte une approche quantitative, s'appuie sur des données officielles pour comprendre comment le marché s'est réorganisé, en particulier entre 2019 et 2025, période marquée par la crise sanitaire, puis par la reprise post-pandémique et par des changements réglementaires. L’étude met en évidence deux fronts de concurrence : sur le marché intérieur, le secteur aérien est confronté au TGV, dont l’importance s’est accrue après l’adoption de la loi « Climat et résilience » qui restreint les vols de moins de deux heures et demie lorsqu’il existe une alternative ferroviaire, ce qui a intensifié la concurrence depuis 2023 et élargi l’offre ferroviaire en 2024. Au niveau européen, les compagnies low-cost ont renforcé leur présence et réduit la part de marché des compagnies françaises traditionnelles. Cette évolution, associée à la libéralisation et aux politiques de développement durable, contribue à redessiner le marché et accroît la pression sur les compagnies traditionnelles, alors que le secteur cherche encore à retrouver pleinement ses niveaux d’avant la pandémie.

  • Ana Paula Camilo Pereira, Mato Grosso do Sul State University

    Ph.D. in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a PhD research internship at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III. Master’s degree in Geography from the São Paulo State University (UNESP/Presidente Prudente). Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD). Professor at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS) in the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEO) and in the undergraduate Geography course, with a research focus on mobility, transportation, and air transport. She is currently a Fundect/CNPq Research Productivity Fellow. Editor of the journal Geofronter since 2021. Member of the Metropolitan and Regional Metamorphoses Research Group at the Laboratory for Regional Studies in Geography (Lergeo/USP) and the Study Group on Borders, Tourism, and Territory (Gefrontter/UEMS), and a collaborating researcher at the Metropolis Observatory—National Institute of Science and Technology.

  • Rafael Oliveira Fonseca, Mato Grosso do Sul State University

    Ph.D. and M.A. in Geography from the University of São Paulo (PPGH/DG/FFLCH/USP). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), teaching in the undergraduate Geography program, and a Permanent Lecturer in the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEO/UEMS). He is a member of the GEFRONTTER research group—the Study Group on Borders, Tourism, and Territory (CNPq). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre de Recherche et de Documentation sur les Amériques (CREDA/CNRS) in France, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hervé Théry. His research and/or experience covers the following topics: Spatial Planning and Public Policy, Economic Geography, Transportation Geography, and Environmental Geography

  • Hervé Théry, National Center for Scientific Research

    He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in History (1972) and Geography (1973) from Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne), a Master’s Degree in Geography from Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne) (1973), a Ph.D. in Geography from Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne) (1976), and a Habilitation à diriger des recherches from Université Paris X Nanterre (1994). He is currently a Researcher Emeritus at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and  professor at the University of São Paulo (Graduate Program in Human Geography, PPGH/USP). Editorial coordinator of the journal Confins (https://journals.openedition.org/confins/, ISSN 1958-9212), and member of the editorial board of M@ppemonde (1769-7298). He has experience in the field of Geography, with an emphasis on Regional Geography, focusing primarily on the following topics: the geography of Brazil, political geography, thematic cartography, and graphical modeling.
