NATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL POLICY AND THE ANIMATION FROM CEARÁ DEVELOPMENT

This work intends to analyze the animation from Ceará development, in the period among the years 2014 and 2018, period which Brazilian animation market experienced its best scenario since the time known as national cinema “resumption”, and its relationship with national cinema policy. The sector advances in Ceará, due to production of the series “Astrobaldo”, by Lunart production company, and “Um Conto em Cada Ponto” by Tusche, displayed on public TVs, were noted as well. In order to realize this study, the main audiovisual policies, at federal and state levels, which ensured the establishment of this scenario, were investigated, through a qualitative and bibliographic research, using an interdisciplinary approach. It is highlighted that stimulating animation cinema from Ceará is to promote the state’s economic and cultural diversity development. Therefore, the existence of mechanisms and public policies designed to regulate the sector is fundamental for the means of production decentralization.
