This article has the objective to investigate the media representation of young Greta Thunberg in the episode in which the Swedish activist was called by the President of the Republic of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, a "pirralha" in 2019, after she had criticized the lack of measures of the Brazilian government for the protection of indigenous people. Based on studies on the representation of adolescence in the media, the research focuses on investigating journalistic materials from the national media that covered the case, based on content analysis, according to Bardin (2002). Among the results found, we noted that the coverage highlighted the young woman in the published images, but reproduced stereotypes linked to the contemporary ideal of adolescence, emphasizing Greta's juvenile condition and her rebellious posture.
