Identification of physiologic alterations in a specific senior group

        Abstract

        We aimed to identify physiologic alterations in a group of senior. The descriptive study took place in the Center of Family Development, in Fortaleza. Data collection happened in the patient’s home with interviews. It was observed several alterations in physiologic way, standing out the one of activity and rest. The seniors related alterations in the locomotion and development of daily tasks. Pain and loss sensation / decrease of the tact sensibility was mentioned, limiting the mobility. Other alterations were: loss of memory, breathing discomfort and fatigue. It is ended that the identified physiologic alterations are important for they interfere in the self concept, acting of papers and the patient’s interdependence.
