This work aimed to investigate factors that pervade the social and cultural structure of women in stable union and the influence these factors have on self-care and sexual behavior. It is an ethnographical research based on theSunrise model of the Theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality. The study was developed in the Center of Family Development (CEDEFAM) and in the family context of six women in stable union. The results highlighted the cultural distance between health Professional and user, what causes the development of ideas with no legal basis about sexually transmitted diseases. We conclude that the cultural analysis is a tool in the search of a satisfactory care, because it allows that feelings and thoughts which favor risky sexual behavior be revealed and used positively in the elaboration of educative strategies.Descargas
