The reality of the sexual abuse in the life of an adolescent: report of case

The present study has as objective tells an adolescent’s case that, abused sexually, had as consequence an undesired pregnancy. This new reality came accompanied of fear, shame and of the decision of not communicating to the relatives the suffered violence, due to fear of reprisal on the part of the aggressor which belongs to the circle of friendship of the victim’s family. The decision of not interrupting the pregnancy was permeated of conflicting feelings taking her to the suicide attempt. The data were collected through interview with the adolescent and analysis of registrations done by the own victim. We concluded that the crescent number of this kind of cases attendances, demands the health professionals training to work with the psycosocials aspects and it reflects their lack preparation due to receiving a distanced education of that reality.
