Evaluation of different hormone inducers on the reproduction of Prochilodus brevis males

Prochilodus brevis tem a reprodução em cativeiro por indução hormonal. O extrato hipofisário de carpa (EHC) pode oferecer desvantagens, embora análogos de gonadotrofinas de mamífero (aGnRHm) ou de salmão (aGnRHs) associados à inibidor de dopamina (ID) possam oferecer maiores benefícios. O objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar o efeito de diferentes indutores hormonais sobre a reprodução de P. brevis. Para isso, 44 espécimes de P. brevis foram divididos em seis grupos; EHC 4,0 mg, soro fisiológico (SF) 1,0 ml, aGnRHm+ID 0,3 mg e 0,5 mg, aGnRHs+ID 0,25 ml e 0,35 mL kg-1 de peso vivo. Após coleta seminal, foi determinado número de ejaculados, volume seminal, velocidade curvilínea (VCL), velocidade em linha reta (VCL), velocidade média do percurso (VAP), integridade de membrana, integridade de DNA, morfologia e concentração espermática.
