Soil quality and invertebrate dynamics in sandy soils under different land-use systems and seasonality

Resumo

A atividade agrícola no Estado do Rio de Janeiro tem sido realizada em solos arenosos e precisa ser fortalecida para favorecer a transformação social e potencializar a vocação desta atividade. Portanto, o manejo correto precisa ser aplicado a esses solos para superar a degradação e atingir seu potencial de produção de forma sustentável. Neste estudo, a qualidade do solo foi avaliada por meio de atributos físicos, químicos e biológicos que são potenciais indicadores de sustentabilidade agrícola, com foco em aspectos da ciclagem de nutrientes, em áreas agrícolas representativas da Baixada Fluminense (horticultura, monocultura de café e sistema agroflorestal), comparado a uma área de referência (fragmento florestal). De um total de 32 atributos, identificamos sete atributos que indicaram as diferenças entre as áreas, incluindo argila total, areia total, areia fina, areia grossa, alumínio trocável, pH e H + Al. A qualidade da camada superficial do solo (0,00-0,05 m) das três áreas agrícolas não atingiu àquela observada na área do fragmento florestal. Houve baixa dissimilaridade entre a área de monocultura de café e a área de fragmento florestal, e alta dissimilaridade entre as áreas de fragmento florestal, cultivo de hortaliças e sistema agroflorestal. Os padrões de associação entre as áreas e os atributos avaliados refletem a interação entre eles, sob influência do relevo, do clima e dos organismos.
