In Brazil, the use of no-tillage system has been increased as an alternative for crop plantings. The cultivation system is the base to get a maintainable yield, since the suitable soil management can preserve or improve the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of different soil managements; conventional cultivation (CC); no-tillage (PD); no-tillage with Guandu (PG)], with and without application of NPK, through corn seed physiologic qualities. The experimental design was completely randomized, in a factorial scheme with three cultivation systems (CC; PD; PG), two fertilizer applications (with and without NPK), and four replicates. Seeds from conventional cultivation system with addition of fertilizer presented higher vigor, as measured by first counting and electric conductivity. The late was not affected by the addition of fertilizer. Conventional cultivation system presented higher seed emergency speed index. That system, added fertilizer, presented also seedling higher dry mass. It was concluded that soil management does affect the quality of corn seeds. Corn plants from conventional cultivation system associated to mineral fertilization produced the most vigorous seeds.Downloads
