Identification of genotypes of high land rice in the Region of the Baixo Parnaíba Maranhense

Abstract

To evaluate the productive performance and estimate the genetic parameters, phenotypic parameters and identify higher genotypes, seeking the recommendation of more productive cultivars of rice for the farmers of the uplands of the Region of the Baixo Parnaíba Maranhão, were installed two experiments with 16 genotypes each. It was used the experimental design of blocks at random, with four replications. The experimental plot was formed by six lines 5.0 m long, spaced of 0.45 m, with a density of 60 seeds per linear meter. As useful area, were used only the four central ranks.The work conclusions were: the genotypes of rice valued have high genetic variability, revealing an excellent source of germplasm the interaction genotypes and environment was not significant indicating that the behavior of genotypes was invariant in places, and that the genotypes INT 231, INT 223, SBT 70 and Sertaneja are promising for the recommendation of cultivation in the Region of the Baixo Parnaíba Maranhense.
