Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Information about the author(s), including contact email, ORCID address, institutional affiliation and abstract of the biography were made available in the submission of the texts, in the metadata tab.
  • The author(s) have a minimum doctoral degree, preferably in Philosophy.

Author Guidelines

ABOUT THE ARTICLES

Articles sent for publication must be unpublished, the result of philosophical research, linguistically reviewed and with a maximum limit of 25 pages, including bibliographic references, notes, abstracts in Portuguese and English, and up to five keywords in English and English.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Authors should be experienced in research, preferably doctors. The subject addressed must be the result of philosophical research. Graduate, master's or doctorate studies will not be accepted.

TEXT FORMAT

The Word Editor for Windows must be used, following the configuration:

  • Arial 12 font, A-4 size paper, 1.5 interlinear space, all margins 2.5 cm;
  • Title in bold and centralized. Subtitle in bold and centralized; 
  • Abstract in single space, spacing before and after zero;
  • Highlighted quote (more than three lines), normal font, size 10, simple interlinear space, retreat to the left by 3.5;
  • Paragraph recovered in 1.25 on the left, interlinear space of 1.5 and spacing before and after zero.

ABOUT NOTES

Bibliographical references must be made in the body of the text in the format (SURNAME OF THE AUTHOR, YEAR, p.).

Explanatory notes must come in footnotes.

Complete bibliographic references must appear at the end of the article in the following format:

  1. Book: SURNAME, Name (abbreviated). Title in italics: subtitle. Edition number, if not the first. Place of publication: name of publisher, year.
  2. Collection: SURNAME, Name (abbreviated). Title of the essay. In: SURNAME, Name (abbreviated) of the organizer (s). Collection title in italics: subtitle. Edition number, if not the first. Place of publication: name of publisher, year.
  3. Journal article: SURNAME, Name (abbreviated). Title of the article. Name of the journal in italics, place of publication, volume and number of the journal, year. Range of pages of the article, period of publication.
  4. Dissertations and theses: SURNAME, Name (abbreviated). Title in italics. Place. Total number of pages. Academic degree and area of study [Dissertation (master's) or Thesis (doctorate)]. Institution to which it was sent. Year.
  5. Internet (electronic documents): SURNAME, Name (abbreviated). Italicized title, [Online]. year. Availability: access. [access data].
