Alasdair MacIntyre and the defense of the rational research conception implicit in moral traditions
Keywords:
MacIntyre. Rationality. Moral traditions. Hermeneutic.Abstract
The historical traditions have been sources of inspiration and renewal for a growing number of contemporary philosophers. Alasdair MacIntyre is amongst those who intend to rescue the epistemic value of moral traditions by defending that there is no practical rationality outside them. Therefore, he opposes the negative view of traditions proposed by the philosophers of the Enlightenment and explores moral concepts against their historical backgrounds.Downloads
