This text aims to traverse some works and articles of Prof. Paul Gilbert to spell out the way he insult your suggestion about the current task of metaphysics, namely, to develop a phenomenology of the relationship, based on the model of the human person. Firstly, it discusses about the distinction between metaphysics and ontology. Secondly, the possible establishment of a phenomenological metaphysics linked to things in life. Finally, the affection is assumed to be driving spring of metaphysics. Prof. Paul Gilbert shows a critical realist, a metaphysical with phenomenological bases that undertake the intellectual task of returning to fundamentals in search of a principle first, as such, inexhaustible.
