The aesthetic conception of the pygmalion and the artistic effects of mimesis in the novel A Nova Heloísa

O presente artigo tem como objetivo evidenciar o aceno primoroso e fundamental que Rousseau faz à sua própria concepção estética, tão admirada pelos Pré-Românticos do Sturm und Drang. A “arte perfeita” que iria ser representada na cena Lírica do Pigmalião é prenunciada na Nova Heloísa com a revelação de dois enigmas: o segredo de fabricação dos vinhos e a feitura do mistério do bosque, explicação dos efeitos artísticos da mimesis rousseauniana, na qual a arte que será consumada torna-se novamente natureza, pois a natureza, sendo o “jardim artificial” ou “vinho”, não pode permanecer obra de arte, não pode simplesmente “parecer que é”, precisa “ser perfeita”, do contrário, já não é mais arte.
