Abstract

Nosso objetivo, no presente artigo, é confrontar os textos de Hobbes e Rousseau acerca dos conceitos de soberania, guerra e estado de guerra, ressaltando as principais divergências percebidas. Tal percurso será traçado a partir do exame do Leviatã e Do cidadão de Hobbes e do Contrato social e dos Princípios do direito da guerra de Rousseau.
