The great health in Nietzsche

Abstract

One of the most vivid questions from Nietzsche’s philosophy is the dialectic between the concepts of health and desease. In a reasonable sense, we can say the foremost goal in Nietzsche’s thought is the diagnostic of cultural and historic desease such as moral prejudices. The main line, thus, would be the use of a new way to look towards the past in order to overcome philosphically the present ́s cultural mistakes. Nietzsche defends this historiographical innovation should be led by free and creative questioning and should take nature and human life in its concretness as the only possible frame. The goal here is to offer a consistent account of this idea following from two fundamental texts: The moral’s genealogy and Ecce homo. We also will take two recognized studies about Nietzsche as theoretical subsidies namelly the celebrated Karl Jaspers’s book about Nietzsche and the more recent account by Jean Lefranc. By the end of the discussion the importance of nietzschian approach to health and desease to the contemporary debate on biopolitics should be mentioned. In this case, some of the arguments by the italian philosopher Roberto Esposito will be the main source.
