Abstract

Over the last 10 years, there has been promoted the conservation of some species of marine turtles present in the  Colombian Caribbean as an initiative led by the Group of Conservation of Marine Turtles of the University Jorge Tadeo  Lozano (GCTM-UJTL), that from the year 2000 has developed activities of monitoring in beaches of nesting located in  the Arrecifes and Cañaveral in the National Natural Park Tayrona (PNNT), within the Program of Conservation of  these species  (Caretta caretta, Chelonia mydas, Dermochelys coriacea  and Eretmochelys imbricata ) that has been  implemented in the northern area of the Magdalena Department.
