Abstract

The presence of Domecia acanthophora acanthophora (Desbone & Schramm, 1867) in the Colombian Caribbean and their association with the coral scleratinic Acrophora palmata, especially in the Bay of Nenguange, is discussed. The anual vatiation of abiotic parameters in the superficial waters of the study area was defined by intervals of temperature (24.1 - 30.6ºC), salinity (35.1 - 37.6 ups), pH (7.92 – 8.75), dissolved oxygen (3.77 – 5.30 ml/l) and nitrates (0.18 – 3.31 (g-at/l). The variations of the physical-chemical parameters and the relative good state shown by the corals Acropora palmata influence the presence of D. a. acanthophora in the área of the Natural National Park Tayrona.
