Apresenta-se aqui a tradução para o Português de um capítulo do livro Subjektivität und Vermittlung. Studien zur Entwicklung des transzendentalen Denkens bei I. Kant, E. Husserl und H. Wagner (München: Wilhelm Fink Verlag, 1973, [p. 294-322]), de Manfredo Oliveira. O livro foi originalmente a sua Tese de doutorado, defendida em 1971, na Universidade Ludwig-Maxmilian de Munique. A tradução é do próprio autor, revista pelo Prof. Evaldo Sampaio. Em complemento à entrevista concedida por Manfredo Oliveira que integra este dossiê, a tradução inédita deste texto tem o propósito de mostrar como os temas essenciais de sua reflexão já estão presentes naquele primeiro trabalho.
