A escolha deste autor para esta edição objetiva, isso sim, dinamizar as pesquisas sobre Axel Honneth no País para além da categoria reconhecimento e os impactos dela para a teoria política. Isso porque há diversas possibilidades de se compreender o pensamento de Honneth. Seja na abordagem jurídica, ou mesmo econômica, o autor alemão é fonte de inspiração para autores do nível de Paul Ricoeur[1], Charles Taylor [2] dentre outros. Apesar destes dois últimos autores supracitados não estarem presentes, as páginas que se sucedem neste dossiê irão comprovar a necessidade de se trazer este autor alemão ao centro das discussões do debate atual da filosofia política contemporânea..
