Abstract

The year 1930 in Brazil is a milestone, within the History of the Student Movement, and it was a good period for the emergence of important representatives of students, such as the Foundation of the National Union of Students (UNE), in 1937. In Ceará, it was also in this decade that it was financed by two major entities for the student movement of Ceará, one of them was the Center for Education and Culture (CLEC), object of analysis in this work. CLEC, founded in 1935, was for many years one of the greatest students in the world, and its members represented an elite of the class of Cearenses, those that were part of the student body of the State College of Ceará (Liceu). The purpose of this paper is to analyze how the organization was created, how it was organized and, mainly, how the task of enrolling in the group course was carried out. development of the civic, cultural and social spirit of its representatives.
