“Todos sabemos que as opiniões dos homens são respeitadas”: desigualdades de gênero e os desafios de lideranças femininas do movimento sindical do Sul do Brasil

The present article, through an understanding through the reports of 11 female leaders representing unions from different regions of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, what are the challenges faced by women in performing their activities in the union movement. For this, national and international researches dealing with the theme of gender and unionism were used as a theoretical framework. In the results found, it was observed that women suffer from gender prejudice, little space for speech, as well as the need to develop public and organizational policies that promote the encouragement of political minorities in union institutions, especially that of female leaders, as searched here.
