Weaving the net: the clinical case construction in the institutional care of young patients

Abstract

Departing from the Freudian notion (1937/1975) of “construction”, we propose a research-intervention methodology, based on the singularity of the case to the detriment of universalizing practices, to be used with mental health teams that deal with young patients. We introduce a trainee student within the staff during the period of the case construction.
