Abstract
Scientific Production in nursing in Brazil has grown substantially in recent decades. This undeniable fact has as one of its main drivers, the implementation of the first post-graduate studies in nursing courses, between the end of the 70s and during the 80s of last century. More recently, there was an additional stimulus to scientific production in nursing, represented by the implementation of new masters and doctoral courses in nursing outside the hegemonic axis of the Southeast, where they are still located most of these courses.Published
