Videopoetic practices as forms of experimentation and breaking off the single-channel paradigm in the field of Image and Sound Design

Abstract

Due to the 30th anniversary of the Image and Sound Design career at the University of Buenos Aires, this text talks about the forms of creation that took place in its workshops. It makes a description of works that
prefer the experimentation with video technology and poetic texts. Therefore, within the framework of audiovisual design practices, it puts its attention on pieces of videopoetry genre, taking into account its
origins as cinematographic avant-garde, and how nowadays expanded its possibilities by experimenting with contemporary technologies.
