Abstract

Assuming that we live surrounded by screens, we are immersed in images
and in particular in moving images - the notion of image, of the devices
on which it materializes and the technological innovations that build them
(projections and screens) -, more relevance I attribute to contribution of
the definitions in which images are shadows (Heraclito; Plato), and by
shadow one has the allegorical representation of the other through by it.
The concept of image evokes, in addition to the visual representation of
something, and is sustained in a similarity that can be an idea, making
the image an object - following another one that it represents according
to some particular laws - where these are easily convert, through the
technical supports where they materialize, into audiovisual artifacts.
As such, creativity, essentially in the digital age, does not consist in the
production of something “new”, but in a process capable of generating
a set of possibilities defined by a group of requisitions and restrictions,
converting the creation act into a selection field.
