Written by the English researcher and digital editor Michael Bhaskar, the book Curation: the Power of Selection in a World of Excess was translated into Portuguese and published in Brazil in 2020. The author seeks in the analysis of the term curation a possibility to understand a little better the complexity to which we are immersed in the current world, of data and information overload, of unbridled possibilities, but without many clear indications of how to produce meaning or solve part of the problems of the anthropocene. Through multiple examples and contexts, and through the creation of several definitions of principles and effects that permeate curatorial activity, Bhaskar offers us an updated study on curatorship and its intricacies.
