The legendary Group Irmãos Aniceto is formed by a family of farmers from the city of Crato, Ceará, Brazil. With its appearance in the 19th century, the group is currently known in Brazil and around the world for its folk music, inspired by the daily life of the farmer in the Brazilian northeastern hinterland.
This work is the result of research in traditional Brazilian northeastern music. The group called Irmãos Aniceto has been active for four generations, maintaining a tradition in music of rural origin in the interior of Ceará, specifically in the Cariri region. Aware of the historical relevance that the group has in the region and the depths in the interpretation of hitherto unprecedented material on the guitar, the performance of the songs "O Caboré" and "A Dança dos Sapos" allowed a significant exploration, with results that stimulate new studies.
