Abstract

The work “Choro de Minha Mãe” is the result of a mini video with the representation of an indigenous child, killed
by Covid-19, saying goodbye to his mother. A kind of Yanomami fable to talk about these countless indigenous losses,
these pains, to measure the immeasurable. Inspired by countless reports about Yanomami mothers who had the bodies of
their children, killed by Covid-19, buried without their authorization, when the Yanomami funeral ritual does not
allow such practice. The work is part of a series of experiments for the creation of a theatrical text, within the
discipline Modes of Text and Scene Composition, in the Professional Masters in Arts.
