Abstract

The dreams of a philosopher are not usually considered relevant to the clarification of his own philosophy. After the contemporary critique of the psychologism of author’s intentions carried out by literary criticism and philosophical interpretation, the objections rose against biographical explanations seems to be justified. Why to read Adorno’s “Dream notes”? It could be justified as an essay to apprehend in statu nascendi, the inner dynamic of an intellectual experience drove by the confrontation with the irrational rooted in history.
