Abstract

This paper has objective to present considerations about the transformations and urban interventions in the central areas, considering the city of Uberlândia-MG as an example. Therefore, an appreciation of the Municipal Director Plans is carried out, a Project for the Requalification of the Central and Fundinho Area in the Context of the Neighborhoods and the Plan of the Director of Transport and Urban Mobility of Uberlândia (PlaMob). It ratifies a relevance of laws and plans that contemplate the urbanistic instruments that aim at the construction of more sustainable cities, for that reason they are not guarantee of changes, being, therefore, common not to implement many plans, among which the conflict of interests surrounding the use and occupation of urban land. Therefore, the importance of plans is also confirmed, and consequently feasible.
