The peteca project as a "child labor" discussion subsidy in the teaching of geography

This research aims to analyze the PETECA Project experience contribution as a subsidy to the discussion of the theme "child labor" in the geography teaching of elementary school students. This is a qualitative research of the ethnographic case study type. The work is structured in two parts. In the first, it presents the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent, the Federal Constitution and opens discussion on the issue of the fight against exploitation of young people, this being a commitment to citizenship and the future of children and adolescents. In the second, it records the experience of the pedagogical actions developed in a public school in the city of Fortaleza. Finally, it presents the final considerations, discussing the need for an awareness of child labor, based on society, the neighborhood studied, showing the political and cultural effort.
