Abstract

In the constitution of the present territory of the state of Paraná there were several historical moments of great relevance, which triggered successive processes of des(re)territorialization. One of the historical passages, which is sometimes neglected in the official documents, is the one that tells the relationships in the Jesuit missions that existed in the territory, and which involved multiple subjects. The purpose of this article is to discuss the construction of territorialities within Jesuit missions in the state of Paraná, based on theoretical and field research. The various historical moments had their importance in the constitution of a territory rich in cultures, product of the confluence between the peoples, constituted from the processes of des(re)territorialization that existed, and which continue to occur permanently.
