The present article aims to characterize the geomorphological features of Buriti dos Lopes municipality in the state of Piauí, located in the northern mesoregion of the state and in the microregion of the coastal plains. In order to contribute to territorial planning, the work also has as justification to present studies related to the theme for the municipality, because few studies are directed to the area. The methodology used for mapping the area was based on the use of Shuttler Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) altimetry images, where three morphometric parameters were considered: altimetry, shaded relief and slope, geoprocessing methods and field work. The QGIS software 2.18.18 was used in the SRTM image processing, where the maps were generated. The Geomorphological Geomorphological Manual developed by IBGE (2009), FROTA (2015), CABRAL (2015) and the Geomorphological Geological and War Dictionary of War and War (1993) were used for the circumscription of the geomorphological features found. In this way, four features were found: Clusters of Tables, Plains Terraces Fluviolacustres, Planed Hills and Closed Valleys. The feature found in a greater proportion in the municipality was the Cluster of Tables with 27.77 km² being 39.54% of the area. Through the mapping it is possible to highlight the characteristics of the features to serve as a basis in the territorial order.
