Abstract

There are several meanings that the concept of nature has acquired in large areas of knowledge. Bearing this in mind, in formal education, it is up to the Geography teaching to stimulate reflection on the relations established between nature and society through different types of connections. From this, the aim of this article is proportional, for the teaching of Geography, an approach to the nature according to the ecosystem services present in terrestrial spheres. The method is based on the literature review of highlighted themes, field work and proposition of a geographical discussion to the nature. The results point to the possibilities of using it in basic education, in which the integrative vision between the physical environment and society is prevalent, the approach of goods and services coming from terrestrial spheres.
