Abstract

The reading and interpretation of images are part of different proposals inserted in the most diverse curriculum components. Considering the importance of images in the construction of knowledge and, given that, the need for methodological rigor in order to build contributions to research in a geographical scope, this article aims to address the Geo-Imagetic reading method (COPATTI, 2019) and to debate its importance both in the construction of the teacher's geographic thinking and in the development of geographic reasoning in the classroom. This article is an excerpt from the doctoral research, completed in 2019, which was used in one of the steps, the use of this method to understand aspects related to the analysis of responses obtained from the research with a group of Geography teachers.
