Abstract

Colombian poetry of the 20th century is reflection of a critical society that takes the word as a spearhead and the city as a trench. We propose to study linguistic-cultural identity components of the Latin American city as sedimentation present in the production od two Colombian poets who lived in a Bogotá that is transformed, on the darkness, and that transforms idyllic places into another city, usually prohibited, hidden. We start from the discussion about the beginnings of Latin American cities that were transformed until their fragmentation in the XXI century. Later, we study how Colombian poetry in that period of time collects some of those fragments that are opposed to the idyllic city presented in various speeches. Finally, we discuss possible scopes of the literature on the city as part of a linguistic-enunciative curriculum.
